CARLOS MONTIJO

In 2008, Carlos Montijo, raised a Roman Catholic, was saved from God's wrath and came out of the Church of Rome. After some turbulent years of King James Onlyism, cult-like groups, and lukewarm churches, God used the ministries of faithful men such as G. Craige Lewis, James White, Gordon Clark, and his local church to bring balance and sound doctrine to his life, including the historic truths of the Protestant Reformation. His love for the Word of God, apologetics, and church history prompted him and his friend Tim Shaughnessy to start Semper Reformanda Radio. Carlos is a software engineer, married to the woman of his dreams, and has five beautiful kids. He is also a pastor of ThornCrown Covenant Baptist Church.

STEVE MATTHEWS

A native and current resident of Cincinnati Ohio, Steve Matthews is employed full-time in the retirement plan industry. When he's not fixing 401(k) plan emergencies, Steve is an avid blogger, YouTuber, and podcaster. He also has discovered the joys of cycling and in his spare time can be found spinning on local bike trails.

When it comes to doctrine, Steve gladly admits to being a Presbyterian and a Scripturalist. He traces his love for the work of Gordon Clark and John Robbins back nearly 20 years to the time when a friend gave him a copy of Horatius Bonar's book The Everlasting Righteousness, published by The Trinity Foundation. Steve found John Robbins' foreword to that book so compelling that it drove him to find out more about the man who wrote so well and the doctrine that he taught.

Since that time, Steve has attended and dropped out of seminary, written a book under the editorship of John Robbins, and become a member of the board of the Trinity Foundation. He currently hosts the Trinity Foundation's podcast, Trinity Foundation Radio.

Steve is greatly honored to be part of the ThornCrown Ministries family and looks forward to a long and fruitful relationship with his brothers in Christ and fellow Scripturalists.
